READ ADAM’S STORY
ROOTED IN BC
Born in Port Coquitlam, Adam has lived in multiple communities across Metro Vancouver. He has worked in local businesses, hiked BC’s mountains, stood on picket lines, and volunteered in his community. Adam is in the final year of studying for his political science degree at Simon Fraser University and divides his time between the BC Greens, working at a restaurant, and tending to his garden on the family farm.
A FAMILY BUILT ON PUBLIC SERVICE
Adam grew up in a home surrounded by family and purpose. His parents, Kevin and Wendy, met early in their teaching careers and went on to dedicate a combined 65 years to public education. They served as teachers, his Father as an administrator, and both advocated for students across their community. Whether it was volunteering for school events or sports teams, supporting struggling learners, or standing up to government underfunding, they never backed down from putting kids first. Adam’s Father even penned a public op-ed calling out the government’s failure to properly invest in education, an act that almost cost him his job at the time.
Their courage and dedication to their community shaped Adam’s understanding of what it means to serve your community. They taught him that public service isn’t a 9-5 job, and that it comes with a responsibility to speak up when you see things are wrong and to act in the interest of others, even when it’s hard.
Now retired, Kevin and Wendy live on the family farm with Adam’s grandfather Earle, a 91-year-old retired dentist and proud Métis elder whose spent his free time growing Christmas Trees. They share their home with Ruby, a playful labradoodle, and five rescue cats who keep their home lively.
A VOICE FOR CHANGE SINCE DAY ONE
He joined his parents on the teachers’ picket line in 2014, where his approach to politics was nurtured in local, community-based leadership. While in high school, he started the first climate strikes in his community, bringing together local elected officials and candidates to advocate for stronger action in tackling the climate crisis. From there, he continued to organize and volunteer across BC.
In 2020, Adam ran to become an MLA. Shortly after, he was invited to become a member of the BC Greens’ Provincial Council as an At Large Representative. In 2024, Adam’s colleagues unanimously chose him to serve as the party’s Secretary, citing his passion and commitment.
During the last provincial election, Adam ran as a local candidate for the BC Greens and was also invited to take part in major events, forums, and debates across the province, where he challenged members of the Premier’s cabinet while standing up for Green values.
LOWERING THE COST OF LIVING
Adam’s vision is rooted in his desire to believe in British Columbia as a place where everyone can thrive. Over the years, he has advocated for stronger action on affordability, sustainability, education, and the revitalization of rural and Indigenous communities. Through the building of sustainable communities, investments into resilient local food systems, and the expansion of accessible, green public transit, we can lower our costs of living while reducing our impact on the planet. When Adam looks at the challenges we face, he doesn’t see isolated issues; he sees the impacts of division weakening the roots that hold our society together. His mission is simple — to strengthen those roots through collaboration, community, and hope.
POLITICS WITH PURPOSE
Adam believes that the government must serve the public. It is clear that British Columbians have lost faith in the promise of our province. Adam’s promise is a future where everyone can not only get by, but get ahead, regardless of their background, partisan stripes, or where in the province we call home. While his involvement with the BC Greens began because of the threat that climate change presents, his nearly decade-long involvement has proven that he is not only the strongest advocate for the environment, but also for our families, friends, and all of beautiful British Columbia.
